High-Angle and Confined Space Rescue Services

SEQUOIA sets the bar for the Confined Space Rescue Industry  

Unlike traditional stand-by services, our teams are experts not only in providing a safe, timely rescue response but also in Environmental, Health, and Safety. When not performing high angle or confined space rescue in the field, they are providing OSHA 1910,1926, and other regulatory training and program management. With 24/7/365 availability, Sequoia can provide your facility the rescue expertise along with an industry leading level of EHS support.

Not all rescue services are made equal, our rescue technicians have a minimum of 80 hours of training, and all rescue supervisors have 160 hours of rescue training.

All Rescue Technicians and Supervisors are evaluated on a quarterly biases.

All Rescue Technicians are required to have a minimum of 3 years of rescue experience .

Rescue Capabilities

Confined Space Attendants (Nonentry Rescue)
Our Confined Space Attendants are trained per OSHA CFR 1910 and 1926 standards. Our Attendants also trained in installation, inspection, and operation of non-entry rescue equipment. The attendant, arguably has the most amount of responsibility on the confined space team, as they have the highest number of duties required by OSHA.

Confined Space Rescue 
Confined space rescue involves the rescue and recovery of victims trapped in a confined space or in a place only accessible through confined spaces, such as underground vaults, storage silos, storage tanks, or sewers.​


Technical High-Angle
Our Supervisors and Technicians are capable of utilizing High Angle Rope Rescue (HARR), from the top industrial towers, tanks, vessels, and units where stairs and ladders are the only safe means of access and egress. 

Swift Water Rescue
Our Swift water rescue is a subset of technical rescue dealing in white water river conditions. It involves the use of our specially trained personnel, ropes and mechanical advantage systems that are often much more robust than those used in standard rope rescue. .

Trench and Excavation Rescue
Trench rescue is a specialized form of rescue. Our trench rescue involves Excavation competent persons shoring the sides of a trench, and digging a trapped worker out of a collapsed excavation. Trench rescue is one of the most dangerous rescue operations to complete.
